FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about going solar, our plans, and installation.
Q1. How does a solar system work?
+
Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity during the day, prioritizing use for homes or businesses. Excess power can be stored in batteries or fed back to the grid, reducing grid purchases and lowering electricity bills.
Q2. Can it generate power on cloudy or rainy days?
+
Yes. It can still generate power on cloudy days, though output is lower than on sunny days. System design is based on annual average generation, not single-day weather conditions.
Q3. Can I use solar energy at night?
+
Solar panels do not generate power at night. Nighttime electricity can come from batteries or the grid. Adding battery storage can significantly increase self-consumption.
Q4. How long do solar systems last?
+
Solar panels typically last 25 years; inverters 10-15 years; batteries about 10 years, depending on product and maintenance.
